The mission of this position is to contribute to the success of GSM auto group (the Company) by assisting Clients and team members in the receipt, parking, washing, displaying, delivering, and returning of vehicles in a safe and timely manner, while upholding the highest levels of professional courtesy, safe driving standards, and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently Ensures Quality Control in Customer Care and Vehicle Management Procedures
  • Effectively and efficiently maintains new, and used, vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles; replenishing all vehicle fluids, as needed; replacing batteries, as required.
  • Consistently and efficiently organizes and maintains the service drive(s), new and pre-owned vehicle lot(s), and/or parking lot(s).
  • Prior to Client arrival, works closely with the Service Department to ensure vehicles are ready for delivery; inspects vehicles for stains, debris, and damage before returning the vehicle to the Client; immediately reports any damages to management
  • Ensures that buyer guides and stock tags are placed in vehicles per Company and government guidelines.
  • Cleans driveway and walkways, removing debris, as necessary.
  • Moves Client and dealership vehicles to and from service drive, service stalls, and lots, or as directed by management and in accordance with dealership display standards.
  • Installs seat covers, floor protection and key tags in all vehicles taken in for service.
  • Ensures that all vehicle keys are returned to the appropriate location; ensures that all vehicles in the lot are locked, with the windows rolled up, and keys securely stored.
  • Performs loan car duties; which include agreements, cleaning of loan cars, re-fueling, and checking in as cars are returned.
  • Remains in the Sales & Service Departments at all times, unless directed to perform another task outside of the Service Department; actively seeks out additional assignments during non-peak time frames.
  • Follows established policies and procedures relevant to the assigned responsibilities; promptly seeks clarification, if any request, task, or objective is unclear; consistently and effectively utilizes all available information and resources to ensure internal and external Client satisfaction.
  • Consistently remains engaged with management, team leads, fellow team members, and processes, to foster successful working relationships with all internal and external Clients; consistently maintains follow up systems that encourage repeat and referral business and contribute to Client satisfaction.
  • Based on business need, assists with porter duties between the sales and service department.

Qualifications

  • Experience Desired: Prior porter, or valet experience.
  • Availability to work weekends.

Degree/Diploma

High School Diploma/GED : Required

Licenses Required

We are looking for a Part-Time Receptionist/Switchboard Operator for our INFINITI Dealership

The Days and Hours we are looking to fill at INFINITI are:

  • Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday – from 4:00 – 8:00PM
  • Every Saturday: 8:00AM – 2:00PM or 2:00 – 8:00PM (The schedule rotates weekly – so, one week you work the early shift – and the next week you work the late shift, etc.)
  • And Every Other Sunday: 10:00AM – 7:00PM If you work one Sunday – you will be OFF the next, etc.

  • Must be Computer Literate.
  • Must possess Strong People, Communication and Phone Skills.

Position Overview

The Service Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

Who Would I Interact With?

This position interacts daily with Customers, Service Advisors, other Technicians, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers, just to name a few.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
  • Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
  • Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by the Customer.
  • Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
  • Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
  • Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician’s tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as “special tools.”
  • Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
  • Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty

The performance of a Service Technician is measured by achieving:

What are the requirements for this job:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience as an automotive technician
  • Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs)
  • Attention to detail

  • Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record

Candidate must have proficient computer skills, for they have to be able to track all service records and transactions, for the candidate will be responsible for entering, validating and updating information in the database, as-well-as process Service Repair Orders and Parts Counter Tickets. This position does require excellent organizational skills. Candidate must be familiar with all aspects of cashiering! The associate will have to be able to count cash back to guests, be able to process checks and credit card payments for all Repair Orders and Counter Tickets. The candidate will have to reconcile all of the day’s transactions for “Close” – so the candidate must be able to add, use an adding machine, be able to balance and reconcile the accounting paperwork, etc. The candidate will also have to be able to perform basic filing tasks.
