The 2012 Infiniti M56 comes equipped with a 5.6-liter V8 engine generating 420 hp. Standard is an electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control where a driver-adaptive algorithm senses driving style and adjusts automatic shifting accordingly. Infiniti Drive Mode Selector allows the driver to choose between Standard, Sport, Snow or Eco mode and accordingly controls the throttle responses and transmission shift points. Using Variable Valve Evanet and Lift (VVEL®) technology along with a Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System your Infiniti continually tunes the valve lift optimizing the opening of intake and exhaust valves to give the engine quicker repsonse with enhanced fuel economy.
